Portfolio Digital Health Assessment
& Strategic Engagement Overview
Prepared for Jennifer Sweeney, CFO
April 2026 | Confidential
What I Learned from Our Conversation
Key themes from discovery with Jennifer on April 7.
5 acquisitions in 18 months
The Growth Mandate
Every new company adds another digital presence to integrate, measure, and optimize. The board needs a data-driven exit narrative, and that starts with measurable digital performance.
Zero attribution
The Measurement Gap
Marketing spend across the portfolio is currently unattributable. No unified analytics, no conversion tracking tied to pipeline, and no way to report digital ROI to the board.
3 sites, 3 platforms
The Platform Question
Current vendor relationships operate site-by-site. With eight companies in the portfolio within 18 months, the question is whether that approach scales.
Manual quoting
The Sales Enablement Need
Pricing knowledge lives in founders' heads. The sales team needs tools to transition from relationship-based selling to data-driven pipeline building.
What I Committed to Deliver
Portfolio Digital Health Assessment
SEO, AI search readiness, technical health, conversion optimization, brand alignment, and analytics posture scored across all three portfolio sites.
Strategic Observations & Recommendations
Cross-portfolio patterns, a prioritized roadmap, and a clear picture of what a unified digital strategy should look like.
Proposed Engagement Framework
Scope, deliverables, monthly milestones, and investment for an embedded strategic partnership designed to scale with the portfolio.
Let's start with what I found.
Website Portfolio Health at a Glance
A combined assessment across the three Halo portfolio websites.

0 of 3
Sites optimized for AI search
Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude are reshaping how buyers find security providers. None of the portfolio sites are structured to appear in these results.
0 of 3
Sites with analytics installed
Only Verified Security has Google Analytics, and it is running Universal Analytics, which Google stopped processing in July 2024. ProTech has ad pixels but no GA. Halo has nothing.
0 of 3
Sites tracking conversions to pipeline
No site tracks form submissions, phone calls, or quote requests as measurable conversion events. Every marketing dollar spent is unattributable.
0
Portfolio domain authority (Ahrefs)
All three sites have an Ahrefs Domain Rating of zero. For context, even a small local business with basic SEO typically achieves DR 10-20. This represents a significant organic search growth opportunity.
Overall Website Portfolio Health
Three sites, three different platforms, zero unified digital strategy.
Individual Site Assessments
Select a site below to view its full assessment.
Professional appearance with strong platform messaging, but foundational SEO gaps and missing analytics undermine discoverability and measurement.
Technical Health
Fix the multiple H1 issue (should be exactly one per page) and remove placeholder text before any marketing spend.
Search Visibility
Add a keyword-rich meta description immediately. Implement a content strategy targeting 'commercial security acquisition' and 'security company partnership' terms.
AI Search Readiness
Add llms.txt with company overview, implement FAQ schema for common acquisition questions, and explicitly permit AI crawlers.
Conversion Optimization
Add a persistent phone number to the header and implement a scheduling tool (Calendly or similar) for acquisition conversations.
Brand & Messaging
Publish the team page even with current leadership only. Acquisition targets want to see who they are partnering with.
Analytics & Measurement
Install Google Analytics 4 + Google Tag Manager immediately. This is the single highest-impact fix across the entire portfolio.

A DR of 0 means search engines assign virtually no trust signal. Even a small local business typically achieves DR 10-20.

Website Portfolio-Level Patterns
Looking across all three sites reveals systemic patterns that will compound with each new acquisition.

Key Patterns
No unified analytics or reporting
Each site has different (or no) analytics tooling. There is no way to see aggregate portfolio performance, compare acquisition performance, or report digital metrics to the board.
Zero AI search optimization across the portfolio
AI-powered search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) is the fastest-growing channel for B2B buyer research. None of the three sites are structured to appear in AI-generated recommendations.
Three brands, three platforms, no integration playbook
Each site runs independently on WordPress but with different themes, plugins, and configurations. With five more acquisitions planned, there is no repeatable process for bringing a new company's digital presence into the portfolio.
Content depth varies dramatically
ProTech has 50+ pages and an active blog. Halo has minimal content. Verified sits in between. Organic search performance will mirror this disparity.
Conversion infrastructure is inconsistent
ProTech has phone + form + blog CTAs. Verified has a quote form and case study. Halo has a newsletter signup. No site has scheduling, chat, or conversion tracking tied to pipeline.
Zero domain authority across the portfolio
All three sites have an Ahrefs Domain Rating of 0 with fewer than 20 backlinks each. This means search engines assign virtually no trust or authority signal to any portfolio site. Building domain authority through quality content, local citations, and strategic link building should be a core part of the digital strategy.
Performance varies but none excel
Lighthouse performance scores range from 74 (ProTech) to 80 (Halo). No site achieves a 'good' LCP under 2.5s in lab testing except Verified (1.4s), and Verified has a failing CLS of 0.333. These are fixable issues, but they compound across the portfolio and impact both user experience and search rankings.
Acquisition Readiness
The current digital infrastructure is not ready to scale across five additional acquisitions. Each new company will add another disconnected website with no shared analytics, no brand consistency guidelines, and no onboarding playbook. The board's 'data-driven company' narrative requires measurable digital performance, which currently does not exist.
Prioritized Recommendations
Recommended starting point: Verified Security. Contained scope, hungry team ready to execute, Atlanta market with growth potential, and the existing analytics foundation to measure improvement immediately. Win here first, then expand the playbook to ProTech and future acquisitions.
Foundation
Install GA4 + GTM across all three sites with unified property structure
Fix critical SEO issues: Halo missing meta description, multiple H1 tags, ProTech title rendering, Verified sitemap in robots.txt
Remove Halo placeholder text
Configure conversion event tracking on all quote forms and phone clicks
Add click-to-call phone numbers to Halo and Verified headers
Establish baseline performance metrics
Optimization
Implement AI search optimization: llms.txt, FAQ schema, AI crawler permissions across all three sites
Redesign Verified Security homepage with differentiated brand positioning (lead with Honeywell certification)
Replace ProTech Revolution Slider with lightweight, fast-loading hero
Build cross-portfolio analytics dashboard for board-level reporting
Create acquisition digital onboarding playbook for incoming companies
Growth
Launch content strategy for Verified Security targeting Atlanta commercial security keywords
Optimize ProTech blog content for AI citation and featured snippets
Implement scheduling tools (Calendly or equivalent) across all sites
Build portfolio brand guidelines for web presence consistency
Establish monthly digital performance reporting cadence for leadership and board
